Dining Room: The bottom of the chandelier should hang between 800mm / 900mm (31inches - 36inches) above the dining room table top.
Open Floor: The bottom of the chandelier should hang 2.3M (7ft 6inches) from the floor.
Chandelier Diameter: Measure the length and breadth of the room in feet and add together.
Example. A room measuring 14ft + 16ft = 30ft. The 30ft answer should be read as 30 inches.
So your chandelier should be 30 inches in diameter or thereabouts. (if hanging low over a standard dining room table subtract 12 inches)
